Shea is a creative of diverse talents.
He creates mixed media paintings, sculptures in resin and paper, jewelry, illustrations, music and more.
He's illustrated a handful of children's books (and written one!), and his comics and writing have appeared on CulturalWeekly.com, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, and in his own fantasy fiction podcast, “The Green Country”.
He's created numerous illuminated sculptures that he calls “Luminaria”, which appear in happy living spaces across the United States. He also single-handedly designed, fabricated, and installed a holiday lighting display for Brooklyn Industry’s 10 NYC-based shops.
He's lent his artistic skills to a number of NYC & Minneapolis based fabricators and artists including Mike Perry, Doug Argue, Ta-coumba T. Aiken, Square Design Inc, Design Fab, and Kennedy Fabrications working on projects for clients such as Prada, Hermes, Kate Spade, Macy’s, Miami Art Basel, and a number of New York Fashion Week displays.
Shea is a multi-instrumentalist and producer and has lent his musical skills to a number of different bands and projects over the years.
He currently resides in Brooklyn with a growing collection of synthesizers and his excellent cat, Lenore.
